The Firefighters’ Pension Fund Board of Trustees manages the Firefighters’ Pension Fund as prescribed under Chapter 5, Section 4 of the Statutes of the State of Illinois. Major activities of the fund include pension approvals, fund investment, and pension payments. There are five members on the board: two members appointed by the District Trustees, two firefighters from the current workforce elected by their coworkers, and an non FT District Firefighter.
